Cardboard Stories
Leading Without a Title or distributed leadership is a central theme in health care – everyone can choose to be a leader, regardless of their role. The video Cardboard Stories was developed by a group of participants in the 2009-2010 Succession Development program to highlight stories from employees that bring these concepts to life.

Intended to create a sense of urgency, this video challenges the rush of everyday life and how this can disconnect us from 'being present' and providing exceptional service.
This video will inspire you into a 'turning around' and will ask you to take a closer look at the common values that the speed of business and the 'rat race' can cause us to overlook. Values can reach past the rat race; but only if we slow down in our life and work, seek real human moments and pay attention to our 86, 400 seconds that we have in each day.

Often referred to as the 'hands video,' this award winning video emphasizes a shared service culture based on the Region's five organizational values of respect, compassion, excellence, collaboration and stewardship.
This video moves away from top-down decision making and provides employees a voice to share their collective knowledge and wisdom to help us better understand how common values can bind when pursuing exceptional service. This provocative and emotionally memorable 12-minute video engages real employees, shares their stories, and draws out the compassionate nature inherent in all of us.
