Maura Davies
President and Chief Executive Officer
Saskatoon Health Region
Maura Davies is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Saskatoon Health Region, a position she has held since June 13, 2005. Prior to coming to Saskatchewan, Maura was Vice President, Planning and Performance for Capital Health, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Maura has over 30 years experience in health care as a clinical dietitian, educator and senior executive.
Maura has Bachelor degrees in science and education and a Masters degree in health services administration. She is a Fellow of the Canadian College of Health Service Executives and a surveyor for the Canadian Council of Health Services Accreditation. Maura is a member of the boards of the Canadian Health Services Research Foundation and Canadian Patient Safety Institute. She holds a part-time faculty appointment in the Department of Community Health and Epidemiology at the University of Saskatchewan.
In 2007, Maura was selected by Saskatchewan Business Magazine as one of the Top 10 Women of Influence in Saskatchewan. |

Sandra Blevins, RN, BScN, MBA, CHE
Vice President
Clinical and Operations Support
A registered nurse and health care executive, Sandra has over 20 years of leadership experience working within Saskatoon’s health care community. She is an active member of the Canadian College of Health Service Executives (CCHSE) and continues to develop her leadership practice. Sandra is passionate about encouraging major change and quality improvements that improve the care and service experience as well as ensure a safe work environment for all staff.

Jackie Mann
Vice President
Acute Care
In April 2007, Jackie began her role, as Vice President Acute Care. Over the past twenty years Jackie has held several roles with increasing scope throughout Acute Care in Saskatoon, including staff Nurse, Manager, Director and Executive Director.
Jackie is a University of Saskatchewan graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing as well as a Masters in Business Administration. Throughout her career Jackie has taken a keen interest in quality improvement initiatives as well as a focus on how to place patients at the centre of care. In 2007 Jackie received the Muriel Jarvis Award, a peer nominated award in recognition of ‘Making a Positive Difference’ in her role in the Saskatoon Health Region.

Shan Landry
Vice President
Community Services
Shan has been a Vice President with Saskatoon Health Region since it was formed in 1992. She has held several portfolios over the last 14 years ranging from Community Services to Acute Care programs. She has also acted as the Executive Officer for site leadership at Royal University Hospital and Parkridge Centre. In her current portfolio she oversees the work in Continuing Care & Seniors Health, Mental Health, Addictions, Primary Health, Home Care, Public Health, Client Patient Access Services, Spiritual Care, Rural Health, Aboriginal and Chronic Disease Management.
Shan has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of British Columbia and has teaching appointments with the University of Regina in the faculty of Social Work and with the College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. In 2000-2001 Shan was seconded to work with the Fyke Commission on Medicare in Saskatchewan. Throughout “Health Reform” and the varying changes related to resource allocation and management, she has championed the process of regionalization and the development of effective, efficient regional health leadership. Shan is now involved in the strategic developments related to Primary Health in local, provincial and national health system planning. |

Dr. Cory Neudorf
Chief Medical Health Officer
Dr. Neudorf has been working as a Medical Health Officer in Saskatoon since 1994. He started as a faculty member at the University of Saskatchewan, working as Associate Director of Northern Medical Services, and then became Deputy Medical Health Officer in the area of communicable disease control and population health for the Saskatoon District in 1996. He has been a member of the senior leadership team (SLT) since 2000, and has had various roles in addition to his main responsibility as the Chief Medical Health Officer, including oversight of the Strategic Health Information and Planning Services, Information Technology, and Research Departments for the Saskatoon Health Region. As Chief Medical Health Officer, he provides medical leadership to Public Health Services, and reports on matters of public health to SLT and the Saskatoon Regional Health Authority.
He received his medical degree from the University of Saskatchewan, a Master’s of Health Science degree in Community Health and Epidemiology from the University of Toronto, and is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada with Certification in the specialty of Community Medicine. He is the past president of the National Specialty Society for Community Medicine, Chair-elect of the Canadian Public Health Association, and Chair of the Canadian Population Health Initiative Council. Dr. Neudorf is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Community Health and Epidemiology at the University of Saskatchewan, College of Medicine.
His research interests include health inequalities, health status indicators and surveys, health status monitoring and reporting, and integrating population health data and geographic information systems into public health and health planning.

Dr. Amy McCutcheon, RN, PhD
Vice President
Interprofessional Practice & Chief Nursing Officer
Dr. Amy McCutcheon is the newest member of the Saskatoon Health Region Senior Executive Team. She started her role as the Vice President, Interprofessional Practice and Chief Nursing Officer in December 2009. Amy will work in partnership with Dr. David Poulin, Vice President, Medical Affairs to promote and support interprofessional practice, quality improvement and patient/client/resident safety throughout the Saskatoon Health Region.
Dr. McCutcheon received her bachelor, masters and doctoral degrees in nursing from the University of Toronto. She has held senior administrative positions including Executive Lead, Professional Practice and Chief Nursing Officer of Vancouver Coastal Health Authority; Director of Trauma, Neurosurgery, Neuro ICU and Mobility Programs of St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto; and Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nurse Officer of Stevenson Memorial Hospital. Amy is an adjunct professor at the University of British Columbia. She was principal investigator of a study on leadership and span of control funded by the Canadian Health Services Research Foundation, Ontario Ministry of Health, and the University of Toronto. Amy has been a volunteer Registered Nurse with the Operation Smile International Medical Mission, a children's charity treating facial deformities such as cleft lip and cleft palate all around the world.

Bonnie Blakley
Vice President
People Strategies
Prior to joining the Saskatoon Health Region in September of 2007, Bonnie was the Executive Director of the Workforce Planning Branch for the Department of Health. In this role she led the development of the Working Together: Saskatchewan’s Health Workforce Action Plan. The plan identified six strategic goals with approximately 82 action items that serve as a guide in planning Health Human Resource initiatives in the Province. The Action Plan received provincial and national recognition, being identified by the Health Council of Canada as the most comprehensive health workforce plan in the country.
Bonnie previously worked with the Government of Saskatchewan in both the Department of Health and the Department of Community Resources and Employment. She held a number of positions and has worked on performance reporting, accountability initiatives, aboriginal health policies, and regional governance.

Dr. Martha E. Horsburgh (Beth), PhD, RN
Vice President
Research and Innovation
In July 2007, Beth took on a joint role with the University of Saskatchewan - where she is Associate Vice President, Research; and the Saskatoon Health Region - where she is Vice President, Research and Innovation. Beth’s previous positions include Dean and Professor of the Faculty of Nursing, University of Alberta, and Dean of the College of Nursing, University of Saskatchewan.
Beth conducts research with adults experiencing chronic illness, particularly chronic kidney disease. She carries out clinical research, using both quantitative and qualitative methods and has received research funding through the Kidney Foundation of Canada, the Canadian Nurses Foundation, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, and the Canadian Health Services Research Foundation. She has presented over 70 papers and has over 20 refereed research publications.

Deborah Rhodes
Vice President
Finance and Administration
Deborah joined St. Paul’s Hospital in 1994 and held various roles throughout the Finance portfolio prior to becoming the Vice-President of Finance and Administration in August 2001. She is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, College of Commerce and holds a double major in Finance and Accounting. She received her Chartered Accountant’s (CA) designation in 1993 from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Saskatchewan.
In her current role Deborah is able to apply an understanding of healthcare, cost and volume relationships, corporate strategy and public policy in running the complex portfolio of Finance and Administration. Prior to joining healthcare, Deborah was as a staff accountant with Deloitte and Touche, where she completed her articling requirements and did a significant amount of work in the non-profit and public sector. |
