- free access to Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) for clients admitted to hospital or residential care for the duration of their stay
- residents in special care homes receive one-time free access to NRT for up to a 10-week program
- brief three- to five-minute tobacco cessation counselling and policy communication integrated into nursing practice in acute and special care facilities
- access to an Addictions Counsellor to provide consultative support, education and one-on-one or group counselling for employees, clients and the public
- increased time for the tobacco policy ambassador and security personnel to provide education and enforcement of the policy at the three largest acute care sites in Saskatoon, and
- enhanced cleaning on the grounds and property perimeters at the three acute care sites in Saskatoon.
