Healthiest People, Healthiest Communities, Exceptional Service
Why did the Health Region develop a strategic plan?
Strategic planning is a standard accepted practise in business and health care because of the following benefits:
- provides a method to set priority activities
- provides a process for planning on an ongoing basis
- provides a method to assign responsibility for various actions
- provides an opportunity to build on and expand our external partnerships.
During the consultation phase of the plan staff were very clear that they want the organization to be more forward looking and they want to know how their work contributes to the grand scheme of things.
