Payment of Overtime for SUN OTFT Members
SUN Article 8.02b) states that an overtime premium shall apply when a SUN OTFT member has worked more than the full time hours of work in the averaging period. As the Article refers to worked hours only, at the time of shift offer to a SUN OTFT member, no one (employee or employer) can be certain if the shift is eligible for overtime payment until the end of the averaging period. In order to improve the region’s ability in complying with this Article, a standardized process has been developed that will be administered by the Payroll Department.
