Our Cardiovascular Technologists
Working in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Royal
University Hospital, we assist adult and pediatric cardiologists
in diagnostic and treatment procedures. We are a 9 member team
working with more than 2,415 patients every year. We also participate
in clinical cardiology trial opportunities.
Our Service Includes
To Join Our Exciting Team of Cardiovascular
Technologists, You Must First Have or Be One of The Following
-
Bachelor’s Degree in either Physiology,
Kinesiology or Biology
-
Registered Nurse
-
Major medical technologies registration (two-year
program) including Medical Radiation Technologist (C.A.M.R.T.),
Respiratory Therapy (C.S.R.T.) or Medical Laboratory Technologist
(C.S.L.T.)
Then Complete One of The Following
-
BCIT Diploma in Cardiovascular Technology
-
Or, a minimum of 1800 hours of continuous full
time on the job training in a recognized cath lab in Canada
This then allows you to write the registration examination
for Cardiovascular Technology.
