MAKE YOUR MOVE to Pharmacy
Our team of approximately 44 FTE pharmacists and
46 FTE pharmacy technicians provides a wide range of services
to inpatients, outpatients, residents in long-term care, students
and health professionals. We employ pharmacists in staff and advanced
degree clinical coordinator positions. Support staff includes
an information systems coordinator and secretary.
Our Service
The role of our Department is to provide safe and
effective drug therapy to achieve optimum therapeutic outcomes
for the patient. To fulfill this role our objectives are to:

Provide direct patient care services to ensure
quality drug therapy
-
medication histories and assessment, pharmacotherapy
monitoring including pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutical and
seamless care for select patients, participation in multidisciplinary
rounds

Provide a safe, effective and efficient drug
distribution system

Provide medication and practice-related education
-
medication counselling, fully accredited
residency program, education of pharmacy and pharmacy technician
students and other health professionals, drug information
pharmacist

Initiate and participate in practice and drug-related
research

To Join Our Exciting Team of Pharmacists
You Must
-
Possess a Baccalaureate degree in pharmacy for
a staff position, plus an advanced clinical degree in pharmacy
for a clinical coordinator position

Be eligible for licensure with the Saskatchewan
College of Pharmacists
-
Possess a Hospital Pharmacy Residency Certificate
(desirable)
