As an integral part of the health care team, Social Workers provide a wide variety of services to programs and patients in the Saskatoon Health Region. The Department consists of 78 full and part time Social Workers and a Professional Leader. We provide services to inpatients, outpatients and to the community.

Our Services Include

Counselling – individual, couple, family, and group
Consulting and collaboration
Referring within the Health Region and to community resources
Discharge planning
Advocating on behalf of patients and their families
Planning and research
Teaching and supervision
Critical Incident Stress Management for staff

BSW and MSW practicum placements are available.

To Join Our Exciting Team of Social Work Professionals You Must

Complete a Bachelor or Masters degree in Social Work
Be eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers
