Saskatoon Health Region is currently recruiting for the following casual positions:

Maintenance Services Worker (JJE #021): Operates and performs general maintenance for facility/plant systems and equipment. This position requires: Grade 10; Fireman’s certificate, Refrigeration or Pool Operator certificate, where required by the job; Twelve (12) months previous experience in a maintenance environment (e.g., commercial or industrial); Basic computer skills; Ability to work independently; Organizational, communication and interpersonal skills; Intermediate knowledge of tools and equipment, required for the job; & Valid drivers license.

Environmental Services Worker (JJE #092): Provides a clean, sanitary and safe environment for clients/patients/residents, staff and visitors. This position requires: Grade 10; Basic computer skills, where required by the job; & Ability to work independently.

Food Services Worker (JJE #019): Assists with the (non-cooking) preparation and distribution of food and beverages. Provides cafeteria, catering and dining room services. Cleans and sanitizes equipment and work areas. This position requires: Grade 10; Food Safe certificate; Basic computer skills; & Basic communication skills.

Laundry Services Workers (JJE #035): Provides laundry-related services to all departments and facilities for clients, patients, residents and staff. This position requires: Grade 10; Basic computer skills, where required by the job; Ability to work independently; & Valid drivers license, where required by the job.

Cooks (JJE #024): Responsible for the organizing, producing and distributing food and beverages. This position requires: Journeyperson Cook certificate; Food Safe certificate; Basic computer skills; Interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; & Ability to work independently.

Home Care/Special Care Aides (JJE #022): Provides personal care and activities of daily living for clients/patients/residents to encourage optimum level of functioning. Supports clients/patients/residents in meeting their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. This position requires: Home Care/Special Care Aide certificate; Basic computer skills, where required by the job; Interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; Ability to work independently; Valid drivers license, where required; Food Safe training. Letter of Understanding #22 v) regarding individuals without qualifications may be applicable.

COMPENSATION: Salaries and Benefits are per the current SEIU/SAHO Collective Agreement.
