Volunteers contribute to the physical, social, emotional
and spiritual well-being of clients and residents and their families
and friends.
The Volunteer Workforce & Strategic Initiatives department allows people who volunteer the opportunity to give of themselves
to others in their community. The department selects, orients,
trains, places, and supervises volunteers within Saskatoon Health
Region.
As a volunteer you gain an opportunity to:
- work as a member of a healthcare team;
- obtain references for employment, scholarships, bursaries;
- network with other volunteers and healthcare professionals;
- attend various educational workshops;
- develop personally
- attend an annual recognition event and;
- make new friends
Saskatoon Health Region has opportunities
for volunteers in our hospitals and health centres, long term
care facilities, and in the areas of home care and palliative
care.
For more information about how to get involved as
a volunteer, check the Volunteer
Workforce & Strategic Initiatives section of our site.
