(SASKATOON) June 12, 2001 -- Saskatoon District
Health is honouring more than 800 physicians and employees who together
have provided more than 13,700 years of care and service to our
community.
This year's honourees include:
- 4 who have served for 45 years
- 4 who have served for 40 years
- 9 who have served for 35 years
- 17 who have served for 30 years
- 86 who have served for 25 years
- The remainder have served for 10, 15 and 20 years.
"The high standard of health care and service that our community
has come to expect is based largely on the efforts of people like
these who we are honouring this year," says Bob Bundon, Chair,
Saskatoon District Health Board.
Bundon added, "On behalf of the Board, management, staff,
and the community, congratulations to all for your hard work and
support of our health care system through the years."
Saskatoon District Health is the second largest employer in the
province with more than 8000 employees and 600 physicians. For the
third consecutive year, Saskatoon District Health has been ranked
as one of the top health regions in all of Canada.
