(SASKATOON) February 21, 2005 - Saskatchewan Health Minister John Nilson is pleased to announce the appointments of four new members to the Saskatoon Regional Health Authority.
He also announced the appointment of Humboldt entrepreneur Darlene Eberle as
chairperson and Saskatoon-area farmer Carol Teichrob as vice chairperson.
New to the board are Canadian Western Bank executive Douglas Finnie, retired
social work administrator Archie LaRocque, lawyer Catherine Sproule, all of
Saskatoon, and Watson-area farmer Steven Tokarski.
"Each of these new members of the Regional Health Authority bring with them a
record of service to the community and the pursuit of excellence," Nilson
said. "I look forward to seeing them use their enthusiasm, knowledge and
community contacts to improve the health of people in their area.
With her background as a Registered Nurse and her experience as vice
chairperson of this board and chairperson of the former Central Plains Health
District board, Darlene Eberle will bring continuity as chairperson," Nilson
added.
"I am also pleased that Carol Teichrob has agreed to serve as vice
chairperson, a role that will put to good use her decades of experience in
business, public service, the boards of national organizations and of course
her service with the Saskatoon Regional Health Authority for the past three
years," Nilson said.
