(SASKATOON) February 22, 2005 - Saskatoon Regional Health Authority will hold its regular public meeting today, Tuesday, February 22, 2005, in the Imperial Room, Saskatoon Centennial Auditorium, beginning at 2 p.m.
Meeting highlights include:
Accreditation Survey Report – The Authority will receive information on the three-year accreditation standing given the Saskatoon Health Region from the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation as a result of its six day visit in December.
Regular monitoring updates – The Authority will receive an update on the organization’s operational financial status, indicating a slight surplus for the period ending December 31, 2004.
Brief Detoxification Unit update – The interim CEO will report that as of January 8, 2005, 84 clients have been seen in the Brief Detoxification Unit.
Contract Award at St. Paul’s Hospital – The Health Region will recommend that the Authority approve the project budget and contract to complete construction work for the Observation Unit on the 5th Floor B Wing at St. Paul’s Hospital.
Contract Award for Natural Gas Renewal – The Authority will be asked to renew the existing natural gas supply contracts with CEG Energy Options Inc. for St. Paul’s Hospital, City Hospital, and Central Hospital Linen Services, and all other facilities.
