(SASKATOON) April 20, 2005 – Saskatoon Regional Health Authority will hold its regular public meeting today in the Imperial Room, Saskatoon Centennial Auditorium, beginning at 2 p.m.
Items on the agenda for the meeting include:
Chief Medical Health Officer Quarterly Report – Dr. Cory Neudorf, Chief Medical Health Officer for Saskatoon Health Region (SHR), will provide the Authority with an overview of his activities, and the activities of the SHR Deputy Medical Health Officers. Topics of presentation include national public health goals, obesity research and immunization.
Capital Planning & Construction – An update on capital planning and construction projects in the Health Region will be provided to the Authority.
Contract Award for Food & Nutrition Services – The Authority will be asked to approve the Health Region’s recommendation to award a region wide contract for the provision of general groceries for Food & Nutrition Services to two bidding companies.
Best Practices in Long Term Care – Laurie Thompson, a health systems consultant working out of Saskatoon, will provide information on major trends in supportive care and best practices, as well as current gaps and some ideas to overcome them.
