June 27, 2006 - Saskatoon- Over $80,000 (after expenses) was recently raised by the Jarret Stoll Celebrity Golf Classic.
Stoll and 17 NHL celebrities played at Saskatoon’s Moonlake Golf & Country Club on June 23rd with over 160 men and women from the community. All proceeds from the event support the Jarret Stoll RUH Foundation Patient Comfort Fund for Sick Children.
"Jarret and his friends represent a side of professional hockey that is a privilege to witness. These are athletes who sincerely want to make a difference in the lives of their fans and do so in a big way," said Tom McClocklin, Chair of the RUH Foundation.
The event was preceded by a celebrity auction where the players were auctioned to the highest bidding golf team. Over $24,000 was raised during the auction.
