(September 8, 2006) Saskatoon – The Saskatoon Health Region will proudly welcome more than 160 new employees, who have registered for new staff orientation, to its ranks on September 11, 2006. This is the single largest monthly welcome of new health care providers and support staff ever in Saskatoon Health Region.
The job classifications for the new employees range from registered nurses and licensed practical nurses to occupational and physical therapists, addictions counsellors to lab, pharmacy, and medical imaging technicians, and food and nutrition and facilities services workers to patient registration and health records clerks.
The new employees will work in facilities such as Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon City Hospital, St. Paul’s Hospital, Parkridge Centre, Idylwyld Centre (home care and public health services), Calder Centre, Sturdy Stone Building and Kinsmen Children’s Centre.
Health Minister Len Taylor and Health Region President and CEO Maura Davies will both offer greetings and will take questions from the media following the staff event.
