(SASKATOON), Friday, March 10, 2006 – "Get Caught" making healthy food choices this Saturday in participating Co-op stores in Saskatoon and you could win a prize.
March is nutrition month, and this year’s theme is "Make Wise Food Choices, Wherever You Go." In recognition of this event, Dietitians of Canada are inviting shoppers to "Get Caught Making Wise Food Choices in the Grocery Store."
Registered Dietitians will be available from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2006 at Co-op Greystone Centre (8th St. & Emerson), Co-op Westview Centre (33rd St. & Ave. P) and Co-op MarketPlace (Attridge & Kenderdine).
This event gives consumers an opportunity to meet face-to-face with a dietitian to discuss nutrition labelling and general healthy eating questions, as well as be entered into a national contest to win a Cuisinart Countertop Kitchen Collection or one of 14 additional Cuisinart prizes. The contest period is from March 1 to 31, 2006. All entries must be received by April 14, 2006.
Media are invited to attend the event at Co-op Marketplace (Attridge & Kenderline) from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Carolyn Chu, Public Health Nutritionist, will be in attendance to answer your questions.
