Tuesday, March 14, 2006 - A public meeting of the Saskatoon Regional Health Authority will take place tomorrow, March 15, from 1 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Saskatoon at Ballroom South, Hilton Garden Inn (90 22nd Street E).
Items that will be reviewed and discussed by the Authority include the following:
Performance Monitoring – The Regional Health Authority will review its financial statements for the period ending January 31, 2006, which indicate a surplus of $465,000 for the ten month period ended January 31, 2006.
Health Status Report Update – Dr. Cory Neudorf, Chief Medical Health Officer for the Saskatoon Health Region, will report further on the 2004 Health Status Report, presenting information on the changes in population structure and vital statistics of the Health Region and predictions for the future. Dr. Neudorf will also present information on rates of births, teen pregnancy, infant mortality, and high birth weight, and the actions proposed to address issues related to these items in our community.
Pre-school Children Immunization Report – Dr. Cory Neudorf, Chief Medical Health Officer for the Saskatoon Health Region, will present a report on pre-school children immunization rates that indicates coverage rates in neighbourhoods throughout the City of Saskatoon varying from between 47% to 93%.
Contract Awards – The Authority will be asked to award contracts related to various renal supplies, safety IV catheters, pre-filled syringes, and prime architectural services for the new Mental Health Services Inpatient Facility.
