(SASKATOON) Tuesday, January 17, 2006 -- A public meeting of the Saskatoon Regional Health Authority will take place tomorrow, January 18, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Saskatoon at Centennial Hall C, Lower Level, TCU Place (formerly Saskatoon Centennial Auditorium).
Items that will be reviewed and discussed by the Authority include the following:
2005-2006 Operating and Capital Budget – The Authority will be asked to approve a balanced operating budget of $617 million and capital budget of $29 million for 2005-2006.
Performance Monitoring – The Regional Health Authority will review its financial statements for the period ending November 30, 2005, which indicate a surplus of $188,000 for the eight month period ended November 30, 2005.
KidsFirst Program Overview – The Authority will receive an overview on the Health Region’s KidsFirst Program including statistics and program dimensions and successes. KidsFirst works to ensure that children in high risk familieis are born and remain healthy, are supported and nurtured by health well functioning families, and are served appropriately by programs and supports in their community.
Patient Safety Strategy Report – Information will be provided on the Safer Healthcare Now! Strategy.
