Did you know that the average home has 2400 pennies sitting in jars, hiding in the couch, or filling nooks and crannies?
The Parkridge Centre Quality of Life Development Program would like to put your pennies to work, by collecting $3500 worth of pennies in the month of May.
- Parkridge Centre is a long-term care facility in the west end of the city and is home to 237 residents ranging in ages from infancy to over 100 years of age.
- Your pennies will be used to support the Sensory Room project – a room that creates an environment that stimulates, relaxes, promotes memories, provides an experience, and generally supports quality of life for our residents.
- Nine local elementary schools are officially involved in collecting pennies for Parkridge. Other schools, businesses and community groups are encouraged to participate as well.
Drop off your pennies at the Parkridge Centre – 110 Gropper Crescent – from May 1st to 26th to support this important campaign.
