(February 29, 2008) Saskatoon – Saskatoon Health Region representatives arrived earlier today in Manila, Philippines, as part of a Saskatchewan delegation to recruit nurses from that country to our province.
The Health Region’s team will meet and interview about 200 nurses during the 10-day trip. They plan to make 100 to 125 job offers to the Filipino nurses, and to have at least 75 to 100 nurses relocate to Saskatoon.
The public is encouraged to visit Saskatoon Health Region’s website for periodically updates from the team regarding their activities and progress during the recruitment trip. The postings can be viewed at www.saskatoonhealthregion.ca
