(April 16, 2008) Saskatoon – A public meeting of the Saskatoon Regional Health Authority will take place Wednesday, April 16, from 10:30 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Ballroom South, Hilton Garden Inn.
Items that will be reviewed and discussed by the Authority include the following:
- LEAN Pilot Presentation – Authority members will be given an update on improvement work that has been completed in the St. Paul’s Hospital lab since 2006 based on the LEAN model. Results of this pilot project have proven to be valuable in understanding the benefits of using LEAN methodology to eliminate waste and maximize workflow.
- SHR’s Insurance Renewal – Authority members will consider a recommendation approving a new insurance package for the region costing approximately $1.5 million, a reduction of $19,000 from last year.
- RUH Lease Agreement – Authority members will consider a recommendation approving a new lease agreement with the University of Saskatchewan taking into account several new and significant capital projects.
- Financial Statements – approval of financial statements to February 29, 2008.
