Immunizations also continue in Saskatoon’s core neighbourhoods and through the Primary Health Bus.
Second half-dose H1N1 immunizations for eligible children will begin Monday, December 7th at all H1N1 immunization sites. A second half-dose dose is required ONLY for the following groups.
- Children aged 6 months to less than 3 years;
- Children over 3 years of age and less than 10 years who have a high risk medical condition. The following are high risk medical conditions:
- Heart disease

Healthy children over 3 years of age and all adults do NOT need a second H1N1 vaccination. If your child needs an additional dose, you must wait at least 21 days after your child’s first dose. If it has been more than 21 days, children still have adequate protection over the next week until second dose immunizations begin.
Thank-you to everyone for your patience and understanding during the past month as we rolled out H1N1 immunizations. We encourage everyone eligible for vaccination to get immunized and help stop the spread of H1N1!
