Clinic Information
General Information
Immunization of high risk population groups identified by the Ministry of Health began the first week in November with additional risk groups added as vaccine became available. Vaccine was made available to the general public on November 25.
Physicians are now able to offer this immunization to their patients through their office. Not all physician offices will be offering this service so be sure to check first.
The mass public immunization sites were completed on December 17. H1N1 vaccine will still be available by appointment on a limited basis after this date.
Vaccine Availability - Second Dose Information
H1N1 vaccine is now available for everyone over the age of 6 months.
Second doses are needed for:
-
children over 6 months and less than 3 years of age,
-
children over 3 years and less than 10 years who have high risk medical conditions.
Please make sure you bring the H1N1 Immunization wallet card showing the date of the first dose with you.
A minimum of at least 21 days is needed between doses. |
