Lanigan Hospital is an integrated facility that supports acute,
respite and long term care. The hospital was built in 1968. Central
Parkland Lodge was built in 1975. In 1992 a link was built to join
the two facilities. There is a Doctor’s Clinic in the hospital.
Lanigan Hospital has 10 beds. The integrated facility has 45 beds
and a staff of approximately 88 people.
Admitting
To be admitted into hospital, please report to the Front Desk located
at the Main Entrance of the hospital.
Television Service/Telephones/Radios
Television rental service is available. A nurse will make arrangements
to have a television installed in your room. The fee for this
rental is $1.00 per day, which you will be required to pay at
the end of your stay.
A pay telephone is located by the front desk for out-going calls.
Patients may bring their own radio.
Newspapers/Reading Materials
The Lanigan Advisor, along with other weekly papers from the Lanigan
area may be obtained at the nursing station.
Quiet Room/Clergy
The Quiet Room is located in the East wing. This room is available
to patients, visitors and clergy for quiet prayer, meditation
and counselling. A Chaplain or Pastoral Care Worker may visit
you while in hospital. To arrange a visit, please ask your nurse
for more information.
Patient Meals
The kitchen is not open to patients or visitors. Patient meals
will be delivered to your room at the following times:
- Breakfast – 7:20 a.m.
- Lunch – 11:15 a.m.
- Dinner – 4:25 p.m.
A soda machine is located in the front lobby.
Library
There is a library in the 300-wing lounge. Materials include books,
magazines and a television.
