Visiting Hours
- Parents: Anytime
- All other visitors: 2:00 – 8:30 p.m.
Please respect our rest period and bedtime hours.
Age of Visitors
Brothers and sisters are welcome to visit between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. with parental supervision. Brothers and sisters may be in the Playroom or Teen Lounge only when accompanied by the patient and parent.
Children other than brothers and sisters must be 12 years old to visit on the ward. Exceptions to this policy occur only in special situations and at the discretion of the Charge Nurse.
Visitors who have a cold or have been in contact with infectious diseases (e.g., chickenpox, mumps, measles) should delay their visits. Please check with the nurse before visiting.
Number of Visitors
- Observation Unit: limited to two (2) at one time.
- Ward Units: Please help us to limit the number of visitors in your child’s room at one time.
Visitors waiting their turn to visit are asked to wait in the 3rd floor waiting area near the elevator rather than in the hallway.
If visitors are coming to see parents and not the child, please visit with them off the ward.
If you wish to restrict visitors for your child, please inform the nurse.
Washrooms
Parents may use the washrooms in the rooming-in area.
All other visitors must use the public washrooms that are located near the elevators.
Playroom
The Playroom is located across from the kitchen. Patients and all other children must be supervised at all times.
Pastoral Services
All denominations have representatives available. Please speak to your nurse if you require their services.
Interdenominational services are held on Sundays at 10:00 a.m., and Roman Catholic Mass is held on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel on the 4th floor.
The number for Pastoral Care is 655-1249.
