Outpatient Services are provided to adolescents 12-18 years
of age who are experiencing problems with substance abuse or
have been affected by their parents substance abuse. Counselling
is also available for parents of adolescents with substance
abuse problems.
Services include:
Referrals from youth, parents, guidance counselors, physicians
and allied agencies are accepted.
Addiction Programming
Provides services to young people using alcohol and/or other drugs and to family
members that are concerned about their children’s use. Provides further
services to children of alcohol/drug dependent parent.
Chemical Addiction Information Group for Youth
- Explore how alcohol and drug use affects individuals
- Understand
the impact alcohol and drugs have on families
- Develop awareness
of personal use, behaviors and examine reasons for using
- Develop goals and learn how to make healthy choices to
meet goals
Parent Group
- Explore your reactions to the use of alcohol or drugs
by your child
- Develop boundaries you can live with
- Keep the lines of
communication open with your child
Children of Alcoholics Group
- Learn how addiction affects the family
- Develop an understanding
of healthy and unhealthy family rules and roles
- Understand
how to develop boundaries
- Learn about self help options
Safe Driving Program
As a result of changes to the Saskatchewan
Government Insurance legislation, Addiction
Services is providing screening,
on-going assessment, referral and/or treatment to drivers convicted
of Impaired Driving and/or other related offenses.
Referrals to the program are made through SGI.
