Social and Brief Detox works to stop, settle or modify the
behavior of people in our community who are severely addicted to
alcohol or other substances. It is an 18 bed residential treatment
facility open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For addicted men
and women age 18 and over, seeking help and meeting admission requirements.
While most reach the decision to enter Social and Brief Detox
on their own, others are referred by their doctors, their families
or employee assistance programs. All admission and treatment is
voluntary and clients may discharge themselves at any time. The
first step in the rehabilitative process is detox. Once the detoxification
has been completed, the client is then referred to an appropriate
agency which provides supervised conditions to aid them on their
way to recovery and sobriety.
Detoxified clients are referred back to their Case Manager
at Alcohol and
Drug Services or a referral is made so the client can
obtain a community case manager.
