Saskatoon Health Region is uniquely positioned to pursue revenue
development and generation within the health services sector, both
through internal and external opportunities. Through the operation
of a Business Development Division, Saskatoon Health Region facilitates
development of its internal opportunities and provides a designated
lead for pursuing external opportunities for business development.
Internally, the Division identifies current revenue generation
activities, determines if these can be expanded or modified to
maximize revenue, and works with district staff and physicians
to pursue new business development activities related to health
business (both core and complementary activities).
In addition, the Division works with external organizations on
new and innovative developments that fit within its primary goals.
These developments could include initiatives in areas that complement
the region’s overall mandate. They may also include areas
outside of the health region’s mandate, but still in support
of its vision and objectives, such as supporting research commercialization
in health.
