Professional Lactation Support:
Lactation professionals to deal with medical and physical challenges while breastfeeding.
- Breastfeeding Centre
The Breastfeeding Centre is located in the Westwinds Primary Health Center at 3311 Fairlight Drive, Saskatoon. It is staffed by certified Lactation Consultants. For appointments or telephone inquiries phone (306) 655-4806.

Mom-to-mom support can make the difference in ensuring a positive breastfeeding experience.

La Leche League is the only organization with the sole purpose of helping breastfeeding mothers. La Leche League Saskatoon offers:
- Mother-to-mother support
- Monthly meetings providing an opportunity for mothers (and mothers-to-be) to meet and learn more about breastfeeding
- Telephone and email help from accredited Leaders
- Lending library with books on childbirth, breastfeeding and other related topics
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest research findings on the benefits and successful management of breastfeeding
- Saskatoon Attachment Parenting
- A learning and discussion group for parents interested in attachment parenting, breastfeeding, co-sleeping and babywearing.
- Meets the third Friday of each month at 10:00 a.m. at Augustana Lutheran Church on the corner of Broadway and 7th Street East.

- Mothers and concerned consumers advocate for the right of women and infants to fully participate in their biological right and anthropological heritage of natural birth, exclusive and extended breastfeeding, shared sleep, and close physical contact.
- Co-ordinates a grass-roots consumer movement of women demanding access to full information on birth and infant feeding choices for all women, and requires that services be made available to support these choices.
- Objectives are to: support, educate and co-ordinate breastfeeding advocates; provide a low-cost source of information; promote networking and resource sharing; create a database of advocates that can be accessed by members; and, co-ordinate efforts to begin change.
- Publishes online newsletter.
