The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory comprises a group of professionals including cardiologists, technologists, a nurse clinician and dedicated support staff.
We provide diagnostic information about heart (cardiac) disease for both adults and children, by taking pictures of heart arteries and valves with x-ray “dye”. If warranted, we may use various devices such as balloons and stents, to alleviate chest pain.
We provide specialized treatment for the children of the province, such as closure devices to repair holes in the heart.
We are available on an emergent and referral basis to serve our patients 24hours a day.
