Leader Training Opportunities
We are always looking for volunteer peer leaders to co-lead this six week program. Leaders receive four full days of training as well as a leader’s manual and would ideally commit to leading a minimum of 2 six week sessions.
Please call us if you are interested in sharing the tools that help people with chronic health problems improve their lives.
Here are what some past participants had to say about the course after their six weeks.
“This course meant forcing myself out to see smiling understanding faces who shared concerns about everyday pain problems and how to live with humour and dignity – Thank you.”
“Gave me an opportunity to realize that other people with chronic conditions have some of the same concerns and ideas as I do.”
“I found this course very helpful and interesting. I am a caregiver and I’m sure this will help me reach my long-term goals.”
“I found this course excellent! Before I took the course I thought I was handling my chronic condition well on my own, surprised to learn there was so much more I could do for myself and as a result for my family.”
“Gave me a feeling of hopefulness – in sharing with others. Good source of valuable information.”
“As a result of the excellent instruction and good organization, I can better look after my chronic condition.”
