The Department of Medical Imaging and Nuclear Medicine provides
a wide range of imaging services for inpatients and outpatients
within the Saskatoon Health Region and the Province of Saskatchewan.
The range of services provided within the department includes General
Radiology (X-Ray), Fluoroscopy, Angiography/Interventional,
Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic
Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound,
Nuclear Medicine and Bone
Densitometry.
Saskatoon Health Region will offer PET/CT exams to patients effective May 1, 2013. More information about these exams will be available shortly. Physicians wishing to order a PET/CT study should complete the PET/CT Exam Requisition (PDF).
Medical Imaging services are provided within Saskatoon at our three
acute care sites -- Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon City Hospital,
and St. Paul's Hospital. Thirteen rural centres provide Radiology
services.
Most services can be performed on an outpatient basis. Check for

- Walk-in Service - Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- CT and MRI Booked Procedures - Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m.
to 6:00 p.m.
- Nuclear Medicine - Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30
p.m.

Emergency Services

- Saskatoon City Hospital - 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

How to Access Our Services
Most services can be performed on an outpatient basis. Check for

Basic X-Ray examinations such as chest and bone exams can be done
on a walk-in basis, special procedures will require a booking to
be made by your doctor. Waiting lists will vary depending on the
demand for our services and the equipment availability.
