General Costs
There is no cost for having an examination/procedure done in the
Medical Imaging department if you have a valid Saskatchewan Health
Services Card. The only costs you may incur are for your parking
fees if you use the hospital’s visitor parking lot.
Saskatchewan Health covers the costs of all X-Ray, Computed Tomography,
Ultrasound, Lithotripsy, Nuclear Medicine, Bone Densitometry and
Magnetic Resonance Imaging services performed in the hospital. If
you are from out of province or out of country, the Saskatoon Health
Region will charge your insuring province/company directly.
Copy Films
Copies of x-rays can be obtained from any of the Saskatoon hospitals.
Costs include a $50 administration fee and $5 for each film (total
$55 for first film).
Example: Chest x-ray (2 films) + Forearm (2 films)

If your doctor is transferring you to another physician out of
the city/province, the Medical Imaging Department will arrange to
send your films or copies of your films to the new physician at
no charge to you.
