Accessing Services:
Referrals to Rehabilitation Services are to be directed to Centralized Intake at (306) 655-4100, Fax: (306) 655-4115.
Who Do We Serve?
Persons 18 years or older who:
- Have been diagnosed with a mental illness as defined in the DSM-IV (major diagnosis) by a psychiatrist and are actively involved with a psychiatrist.
- Have suffered a significant loss of social functioning for a period generally exceeding 18 months as a result of a mental health disorder
- Individuals at risk of becoming chronically disabled by a mental health disorder, including persons who are acutely ill or traumatized.

Services Offered:
Services for people with severe and persistent mental health illnesses are emphasized. Examples of such illnesses are:
- Bipolar Affective Disorder
- Delusional Disorder
- Depression
- Schizophrenia
- Psychotic Disorder
Case Management / Home Care: Individualized assessment and care planning is offered to achieve identified goals and objectives:
- Assistance with medication compliance
- Assistance with leisure pursuits
- Counselling
- Education about Mental Health
- Individual support
- Skill building for daily living
Case Managers work with community agencies, programs and other SHR mental health services to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach for each client’s unique needs.
Residential Services: Assists clients in finding safe, appropriate and sustainable housing to provide a level of support consistent with their needs.
Coordination of Ministry of Health: Mental Health Approved Home Program.
Seniors Focus: Provides case management, educational groups and consultation to seniors who are experiencing difficulties due to mental illness.
Early Psychosis Intervention Program (EPIP): Provides a structured program to individuals with early symptoms of psychosis.

McKerracher Recovery Orientated Day Program :
The McKerracher Day Program offers several educational, recreational and social groups and activities to enhance coping skills and quality of life. Upon referral, clients are invited to attend an orientation session, group options are discussed and clients choose programming according to their needs. McKerracher Day Program services are available Monday - Friday.

Additional Therapies: Client needs are addressed through a variety of group and individual programs (i.e. self-care skills, conversation skills, budgeting skills, creative-expressive therapy & collective cooking).
Clients are offered education to maintain and improve their leisure pursuits in the community. Fitness and regular opportunities for social interaction are available as well as individual counselling and family support
