For the 2011-12 influenza season, vaccine is available to everyone. You do not need to be 65 years of age or older to receive immunization at no cost.
When you turn 65 years of age, you are eligible for pneumococcal vaccine. If you turn 65 other than during the influenza immunization campaign, book an appointment for pneumococcal vaccine by calling your family physician or the Health Centre closest to you. This vaccine is available all year.
