Welcome to the Resource Centre
The Public Health Resource Centre operates out of the Public Health Office at 310 Idylwyld Drive North, in Saskatoon. We have a small collecton of kits, videos, DVD's and lesson plans designed with health promotion in mind.
Resource topics such as nutrition, sexual health, communicable disease control and tobacco information, are meant for use by teachers, students, daycares, and community groups. Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Booking Procedures
- Requests can be faxed, e-mailed, or phoned in. Please include
your name, phone number, organization and the proposed date you
wish to use the resource. Please book early to ensure that the
resource requested is available on the date required.
- If the resource(s) are not available for the requested date,
an alternative date will be offered and a confirmation of your
request will be returned to you.
- Please advise as soon as possible if alternative dates do not
fit your schedule.
- In Saskatoon, the borrower is responsible for picking up and
returning materials.
- Outside Saskatoon but within the Saskatoon Health Region, the
borrower is responsible for shipping charges, insurance and loss
or damage to materials.
- All items must arrive at the Resource Centre by the due date.
- The Resource Centre must be notified of any damages, which
may have occurred while the program was in use, by the borrower.
Charges for repair or replacement may be assessed against the
borrower.
- A one-week loan period is available for all
materials in Saskatoon, a two week loan is available for out of
town (Saskatoon Health Region) borrowers to include shipping time.

The AV Catalogue lists all the resources available for loan from the Public Health Services Resource Centre.
The catalogue is organized in two sections:
- The first section is a listing by SUBJECT and includes the
recommended audience for each title.
- The second section is an ALPHABETICAL listing of all resources
by title, complete with summaries, resource type and date of publication.
Please note the booking procedures above.
We would like to thank users for their attention to the borrowing
period and for care in returning all items borrowed. With your help
we can provide top quality materials to those requiring them on
the dates they are requested.
