This is general information about the purposes, criteria and procedures governing the Saskatoon Health Region (SHR) Community Grants Program. If you want more specific information or are uncertain which grant is most appropriate to your project idea, please contact our office.

Intake Deadlines:
There are three (3) application intake deadlines each year:
- May 15
- October 15 (for School Mini Grants only)
- January 15
If an intake deadline falls on a weekend or statutory holiday, the deadline will be moved to the next business day.
Submit only one copy of the application. This copy must contain the original signatures of the applicant, participants and signing authorities.
All applications must be submitted prior to 4:30 p.m. on the deadline date. We will not accept late submissions. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered. Sorry, no exceptions.

Grant Types and Purpose
The SHR Community Grants Program includes four grant categories of offered by the SHR Community Grants Program.
- School Mini Grants
- Community Wellness Grant
- Health Promotion Grant
- Community Health Grant
Their purposes are as follows:

A project or phase of a project must be completed twelve (12) months from the date in which the partners receive the grant funds.
Applications for ongoing projects may be considered, based on direct community benefit results reported. Funding on a permanent basis will not be considered.
Saskatoon Health Region must be acknowledged in all publications, posters, brochures, presentations, etc. associated with projects funded by the SHR Community Grants Program. This could include a recognition statement such as “This project was funded in part by a (i.e., Community Wellness) grant from Saskatoon Health Region”.
The Saskatoon Regional Health Authority (Board) may request that you participate in a media event to announce your successful application.
