General Rehabilitation Services are primarily located
at Saskatoon City Hospital and include the following:
- Inpatient Rehabilitation Centre and the Rehabilitation Day
Services Program are located on the 7th floor, Saskatoon City
Hospital. Both include an interdisciplinary approach
in providing care that involves physiatry (rehabilitation physician
specialists), occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology,
speech language pathology, social work and recreational therapy.
- Interdisciplinary clinics include multiple sclerosis, amputee
program and specialized seating.
- Partnerships include Saskatchewan Abilities Council, Acquired
Brian Injury Program, and Kinsmen Children’s Centre and
the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Other Components of the Rehabilitation Caregroup Are:
Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Outreach Team -- Individual
and family support to people with acquired brain injury within central
Saskatchewan so they may live successfully in their community with
improved quality of life.

Chronic Pain Centre -- Interdisciplinary assessment
and treatment of individuals with chronic debilitating pain. We
provide education and support for people with chronic pain, to assist
them in regaining and maintaining control of their life and explore
pain management strategies. This program promotes increased function,
reduced disability and reduced suffering through:
- Comprehensive assessment of the pain problem with review of
previous management
- Safe return to physical activity
- Exploration of coping skills
- Education and understanding of chronic pain

Driver Evaluation Program -- Evaluation of a person’s
ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.

FIT Program -- Multidisciplinary rehabilitation
for clients with musculoskeletal injuries as a result of a motor
vehicle injury.

Kinetik -- Comprehensive, multidisciplinary rehabilitation
services provided by on a fee for service basis to individuals and
employers, including occupational and physical therapy treatment,
work site assessment, hand therapy and employee health education
