How Do I Prepare for an X-ray?
Plain x-rays of the chest, abdomen, arms, legs and spine require
no preparation and generally take only a few minutes to complete.
However, street clothes and jewellery must be removed from the
area of interest as they can interfere and cover the anatomy.
Please report to the Admitting Department 30 minutes prior to your
scheduled appointment time.
Voiding Cystogram

involves inserting a small catheter or tube into the urinary
bladder through the urethra. The bladder is filled with x-ray
dye to demonstrate any unusual shape or leakage of the bladder
or to demonstrate reflux (back flow) which can cause kidney infections.
Performed using sterile technique.
