Going to Hospital

​Acute Care Pediatrics

If your child is going to stay overnight in hospital, he or she will be staying in Acute Care Pediatrics. We care for children and teenagers up to 16 years old.

Your child will be in either a private, semi private and in a four-bed room. He or she will be place in a room appropriate for their care needs. Our unit also has a playroom for younger children, a kitchen and TV lounge for families, a teen room, laundry facilities and WI-FI access. Parents and family members also have access to numerous food and drink services within Royal University Hospital.

We are here to care for your child and appreciate parent, caregiver or family involvement. Please feel free to ask questions when you have them and remember you are part of your child's care team!
