Maternal and Newborn Care
Welcome to the Maternal and Newborn Care Unit

Mom with her newborn babyCongratulations on the birth of your baby!

We strive to provide the best care possible for moms, babies and families and hope that your stay with us will be a pleasant one.

After giving birth, you will stay in the Birthing Unit for about an hour. You will then be moved by wheel chair or stretcher to the Maternal and Newborn Care Unit. This is where you will stay with your baby until leaving the hospital. This unit is located on the 5th floor of the 1978 Building at Royal University Hospital.

Your hospital stay can vary from 1-2 days. For more information about the Maternal and Newborn Care use the links provided at the left. For further information, call 306-655-1841.
