What to do in an urgent or emergent situation

​For help after hours call Maternal Triage at 306-655-1995, your doctor, your midwife or 911 (please note there is a cost for ambulance charges)


If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms please go directly to the Maternal Care Unit located on the 3rd floor of the Jim Pattison Children's Hospital:

  • You have bright red bleeding
  • You feel you are in an emergency situation
  • You feel like the baby is not moving very much  - less than 6 times in 2 hours
  • You feel like your "water" has broken or is leaking
