​Required Volume
  • Optimal Volume: 1. mL
  • Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL
    (Submitting the minimum volume makes it impossible to repeat the test or perform confirmatory/reflex testing. In some situations, a minimum volume may require a second collection.)
​Stability/Storage
  • Transport within 2 hours of collectionat room temperature  for optimal organism recovery
  • Store at 4°C up to 24 hours if transportation delayed
  • Specimen must be received in laboratory within 24 hours of collection
