  • Optimal Volume: 4.0 mL
  • Pediatric Volume: 3.0 mL
  • Minimum Volume: 2.0 mL
    (Submitting the minimum volume makes it impossible to repeat the test or perform confirmatory/reflex testing. In some situations, a minimum volume may require a second collection)

Body Fluid

  • Optimal Volume: 1.0 mL (spun)
  • Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL (spun)

Serum (For Laboratory Use Only)

  • Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL


Body Fluid

  • Stable at room temperature for 1 hour
  • Greater than 1 hour, refrigerate at 2°C to 8°C prior to transport

  • Stable up to 24 hours at 2°C to 8°C
  • Greater than 24 hours, aliquot must be frozen and stored at -20°C
