    Note: Remove needle from syringe and cap prior to transport

  • Insert into 2 mL transport medium tube and break swab shaft to replace cap

  • Stable at room temperature for 24 hours if sample cannot be immediately transported to laboratory
  • Greater than 24 hours, refrigerate at 2 to 8°C
