Ordering
  • Indicate dosage required (total mL volume)
  • Patient weight (kg), address, home phone number and reason for use must be indicated
    • If recipient is a neonate, indicate mother’s first and last name
  • Saskatoon lab only:
    • TIG/HBIG/Hepatitis B/ RIG/Rabies Vaccine Recipients Form (DC-101) shall be completed and faxed to Disease Control Public Health Services (PHS) when product is issued
    • Indication of PHS notification shall be made in Transfusion Medicine LIS

  • ​Saskatoon: Public Health will be notified when product has been issued
  • Should be administered preceding or concomitantly with Hepatitis B vaccination as a part of Hepatitis B post-exposure prophylaxis
  • A Transfusion Medicine/Canadian Blood Services chart report is NOT required for product infusion

  • ​See product monograph.  For intramuscular injection only.
  • Contains human protein; informed patient consent required for this product
