​Copan ESwab Collection Kit

 

Container Use Information

1.      Check expiry date of collection kit on outer packaging

2.      Open ESwab sample collection package and remove tube and swab
  • Do not touch swab or swab shaft below the red breaking mark
3.      Collect sample from patient with supplied ESwab
  • Do not pre-moisten ESwab in liquid transport medium or use liquid transport medium for rinsing /irrigating sample site prior to collection
4.      Unscrew and remove cap from ESwab tube making sure not to spill the transport medium

5.      Insert swab into tube until the red marked breaking point is at the level of the tube opening

6.      Bend and break the swab at red marked breaking point holding the tube away from your face

7.      Ensure swab is immersed into the 1.0 mL transport medium in container

8.      Discard the broken handle part of swab shaft into an approved discard container

9.      Replace cap on tube and twist until tightly secured

10.    Label tube with patient identification label
