Saskatoon Inpatient Referrals and Admissions

​Inpatient Referrals

Inpatient Referrals and Consultation Requests are made by a physician and faxed to 306-655-8485.  Consultation Requests are usually completed within 72 hours of receipt.  Admission to the Rehab Centre at Saskatoon City may take several days, depending on the length of the waitlist at that time.

 

Consultation Criteria

Patients who may be considered for admission to the Rehab Centre
at Saskatoon City Hospital are those patients with any of the following conditions:

  • Acquired Brain Injury
  • Amputation
  • Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
  • Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS)
  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
  • Muscoloskeletal Conditions
  • Spasticity
  • Spinal Cord Injury
  • Stroke
  • Other neurological disorders

Other Admission Criteria Include:

  • Ability to endure at least 2 hours of therapy per day
  • Medically stable
