Spiritual and Cultural Care

The information on this page is current. However, the 2017-18 Provincial Budget announced that funding for regional health authority spiritual care services will be discontinued in health regions across the province. Provincially-funded spiritual care services are being impacted at Humboldt Hospital, Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon City Hospital and Parkridge Care Center.

Spiritual care services at St. Paul’s Hospital are not funded by the public system and will continue to be offered. In many health regions and communities, including Saskatoon Health Region, volunteers and clergy from churches or other faith organizations visit our facilities, and we anticipate that these services will continue to be offered. Volunteer services will also continue to provide support to patients and their families, in order to reduce the impact on patient care. More information will be shared as it is determined.

To contact the Spiritual and Cultural Care Department, please call 306-655-1249 or send us an email.
